Contract to UVSS Manufacturer TeleRadio Engineering
TeleRadio UVSS
to be deployed at airbase for critical infrastructure protection.
Singapore,
Singapore, April 06, 2006 --(PR.COM)-- TeleRadio Engineering,
a security technology company based in Singapore has announced
that it has received a contract total US$250,000 from a
major Asian Airbase to inspect vehicles entering the critical
installation.
The order received is for the company’s star UVSS
product, UV Colour Under Vehicle Surveillance System, an
advance undercarriage screening system using linear scan
technology to locate suspicious foreign objects such as
dangerous explosives, guns or contrabands attached to the
undercarriage of vehicles.
“UV Colour has been most popular with customers since
the system was launched last year” according to Robyn
Tay, Director of TeleRadio Engineering. When asked on what
makes UV Colour different from other systems, the director
commented, “As security personnel, you will need to
detect abnormalities immediately or within seconds, the
UV Colour allows you to do that as the system reveals the
colour differences between the undercarriage and any foreign
objects at a glance.”
The UVSS manufacturer’s earlier invention UV3, a mobile
robotic under vehicle surveillance system was honored The
Merlion Award in Safety and Security Asia 2003. The company
is also the inventor and manufacturer of award winning In-Vehicle
Surveillance System (IVSS), an advance artificial intelligence
vehicle weighing system which identifies vehicles carrying
hidden weight loads such as explosives, contrabands or stow-away.
